Dr. Kavita Surti founded Citrus Valley Eyecare in Covina, California, and serves patients in the greater San Gabriel Valley. She’s the medical director of this facility, which was named San Gabriel Valley’s Best Eye Practice in 2013 through 2016. Board certified and a leading specialist in ophthalmology for more than 13 years, Dr. Surti dedicates herself to providing the highest level of patient care and welcomes the opportunity to provide you with your eye health services.
Dr. Surti graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and received her medical degree from Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating with high academic honors, she then went on to complete a 3-year residency program in ophthalmology at the nationally renowned program of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Surti understands vision is a precious and essential sense that we value, regardless of age. When your vision is threatened by eye diseases or your eyes need surgical care, it can create feelings of vulnerability and fear. Dr. Surti maintains the highest level of patient communication and education in a compassionate, friendly environment so you feel in control of your eye health. An experienced microsurgeon, she uses the latest advancements in ophthalmic and surgical care, specializing in no-stitch cataract removal and implantation of astigmatic correcting and multifocal intraocular lenses. Dr. Surti is a member of a number of ophthalmic societies and takes part in ophthalmic research relating to glaucoma, corneal diseases, and macular degeneration. She serves on a number of committees in the community and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
